Default Glenfarg fishery

Evening all...

Decided to go for a look for Glenfarg fishery after work as its kinda on my route home. Managed to find it, wasnt planning on fishing as only 2 hours of daylight and a cold east wind but there were alot of fish moving and one guy getting fish.

Its so hard to just walk away knowing the gear is in the car so i thought ****** it, couple hours catch and release, why not!

Its not a big water, but a nice size with platforms and decent banks for walking/sitting on. The fish were randomly showing, but didnt seem to be right on top. I lost a fish as wasnt paying attention on the diawl bach then they were rolling at my cdc. Decided on hoppers and a diawl bach, cast it out, went to get something out my bag and BANG like a steam train got hit, missed it tho, next cast same again, so fiece! It continued thro the night with the most preductive fly being the Diawl bach. Went on to fish 2 Diawl bachs, one with red floss just behind the head. They were smashing it, static and slowly retieved, throughout the short evening was some of the best sport had for a long time.

The fish were solid, awesome and very very powerful, on the backing once. Was really really impressed at the quality of them, important to say that they were only 1 3/4lb to 2 1/2lbs. I know keep saying it but they were bloody awesome. Was broken, hit, lost fish and c+r 5 fish in 2 hours!!

Worth a visit for anyone, just to feel strenght of the fish, the best i have caught!!!! Top quality nymph/dry fishing!!

was wondering if anyone had fished here recently? Was wondering what kind of size it is and an idea of the prices?
