had a half day ticket at eyebrook yesterday. enjoyed it a lot, plenty of fish moving just under the surface.
the wardens were helpful as always, trouble is don't get chance to go as much as i would like.
caught most of my fish on a size 10 black coves pheasant tail nymph.
missed loads of fish due to me being so out of practice. reactions very slow....
maybe i should start on some computer games to speed em up?
even though lots were moving caught all mine about a foot down. will try again soon i hope.

p.s. snapped my western 3 rod whilst casting, 2nd time i have used it. good job had a spare with me...

how do u find the western 3...thinking of getting 1?

liked the western 3 a lot till it snapped. puts a long line out, fast action and very light.
orvis shop at stamford are going to swop it for me, very helpful.
just hope its a one off.

did speak to martha. very helpful and got me another rod in the shop within 4 hours. thats service.
stewart is a lucky man. did not realise that martha is his wife . she wanted to know how the rod broke not to apportion blame but for quality control reasons.
lets hope the airflo line i bought from him does not break too
