Hi George,

Talking to two people at Dee and Clwyd f.d.g. monday they had been twice this year. They said the fishing was o.k, wets and lures fished not to deep, but the fish where long, thin and in poor condition at the moment.

Thanks Lads
Yeh, FOG I could phone the Hotel and I know they're very good but the girl on reception is sure to tell me, she thinks its OK but I'd rather get feedback from the likes of Robroy and co. It's been a cold winter which should suit the brownies in the long term so I'm not surprised they're still a bit lean.
My first trip is on the 21st so anything before then would be most appreciated.
I'm surprised the interest is so slow because this is likely the best early water in Wales. I think some of the World and Commonwealth teams are there this weekend for a get together so I may get some feedback there.
Cheers
George

I'd been keen to know how you get on the 21st. we had a great squad day there last year in prep for melvin, was my first experience of the lake and it was a fish a throw at times,so i'd be keen for a trip soon

Hi George

Paul osbourne and the world team are there this weekend so it might be worth dropping one of them a line.

i fished vyrnwy last week , 5mph ne wind slightly overcast nearly peeeerfect . managed 15 browns to 1lb12onz and 9 bows up to 7lb as you know the fish were in the margins and wets 0n a di 3 seemed to do the damage . On returning to the hotel i was told that it had nt been stocked for 3weeks and was due to be stocked soon

Hi Phil

thanks for the report. We were up the week before and done OK but not as well as you. To the boat we had about 15 bows and 7 or 8 average browns. Was a cold day and they were down a bit......... best flies were a variety of trads.....slime to DI3 if you took it serious. Can't wait to get back up there the first weekend in June with the Ladies team. The fish should be well on top by then and they should have some fun.
The way Brenig is fishing at the moment, Vyrnwy might see a lot of me this year !!!!!

Cheers
George

Has anyone fished it recently? I’ve never been, but was thinking of a visit next week… I’ve not found much info, how much is a day in a boat for 2? Also I heard that there’s 2 sets of boats, which end is the best for someone who’s not been before or is that even right?
Thanks,

Mintsauce
