Fished it a few times last year mate, boobies defo the way to go (black or orange), head out to the back of the island- always a good spot, i watched a couple of guys get their twelve fish limit there in about an hour last time out. Good luck

Early season the best area is usually along the road shore, as close in as possible!

Good luck! Let us know how you get on.

I have never failed on it with pink fritz boobies, bagged up rapid!!!!! Tried lots of techniques but they hammered the boobies something mental.

About 20 yards infront of the island or in the stretch between the tower off the dam and boat pontoon.

Good luck

No bother mate, yeah they have a cracking wee lodge for fisherman...microwave, kettle etc, well that what was there last season...maybe not bank on it being there tho.

As for lines....usually fished on a fast sinker, slow retrieve which worked for me, however also on a intermediate line slowish retieve. personally i dont use boobies alot, nevermind pink ones and was shocked how lethal they were, caught big fish on them too, and over 4 sessions so wasnt a fluke. fish hit them static, retreived, even smashed at the boat....

Hope it still works. I caught nearly all the fish, just off the boat pontoon, fishing towards the dam, deep and where they put the fish in so often fresh stockies lurking.

Hope you have a good day!!!!

Fished well in morning but switched off in the afternoon, boobies on the roadshore worked well also yellowdancer with fast glass.
Front of the island and behind island and alders on far side.
biggest fish 6lb
5 bag limits.
It was too windy to fish the dam.
