Glen of Rothes trout fishery report
Bright sunshine not usually good for top of the water fishing but beetles all over changed that and fish were activly taking off the surface.Anglers really enjoyed good sport with beetle patterns and the Adult and child competitionwas enjoyed by all.Winners were 1st D Fraser and Cameron Walker with 2 fish for 10lbs exactly,2nd Tony and Bailey Mone with 2 fish for 7lbs 7ozs and in 3rd was Bill and Ben Grundie with 6lbs 6ozs.All received easter eggs,medals and a trophy along with prizes.Slater Scott continued his luck with a £100 tagged fish among his 17 fish,Gordon Grant had a good day with 33 fish of which he had a 10lb and a 5lb er among them,Ben Grundie had a nice fish ,a Wild brown of 5lbs returned,M Matthews had 32 ,G Davidson had 14,A Fraser 15,J Stevenson had a 4lb 2ozs fish,R Robinson had 20,JCowie had fish of 4lb 7ozs,Alan Crook had 12,John Adams on 2 trips took 43 fish,J Taylor had 11,Brian Murdoch had 17 with a fish of 4lbs,Gavin Crombie had 19 ,Willie Petrie had 13,Mark Morrison had 24 as did Steve Wright,D Fraser had a 7lb 9ozs fish,Bailey Mone a 4lber,Mike Cowan 10 fish,Jim Eddie 14 and Chris Johnston had 12 to round off another good weeks fishing.Our Next competition is a coarse compy on the 19th April starting at 9am and does not effect the fly lochs.Names for this to fishery.It will also be a sweep match.setting up will be allowed from 8.30am,pegs drawn on entry.A list of competitions are advertised at the fishery.
