Foremark Weekly Report 27th April-3rd May
With the brighter weather this week and the clear water, the bulk of the fish have moved out of Flamingo Bay to along Carvers arm banks. Sun blessed Bay and Bramble bay have been producing well. The fish appear to be lying in the deeper water close to the sharp drop offs and shelves close to the banks.
Most of the bank anglers are still having some good sport, with some anglers attaining catches into double figures. Rainbows are the predominant species with the occasional over wintered blue being tempted. Black and green lures, Olive Damsels are still doing the business, however buzzers are well worth trying during brighter spells.
Boat anglers are still catching good numbers of fish from the various Bays along the Ticknall bank.
Mr D.J. Lupton of D.C.A.C reported 28 fish in a two and half hour session, on a Dragon fly nymph,
Mr J. Wooffinden also reported over 50 fish in two visits this week. All being tempted on a sinking line teamed with a Black and Green lure.
