Didn't head up till after 12 as my mate was working in Fifeshire. Up to reasonable conditions, a bit windy but 100% cloud cover and not to cold.
We lingered a wee bit for a blether with Frazer and Eeky during which time the wind blew up a bit. **** it we'll be fine

Checked where the inflation thing was for the lifejacket on the way up
We made it to Burnhouse quite safely if a bit wet. Rose and missed a troot the second or third cast. My mate then got broke at the net by a fiesty rainbow.
The immortal words were uttered "a doobt we're oan tae plums the day". I was inclined to agree with him as it was blowing a near gale. How wrong I was. I ended up with 3 browns returned, and 3 Rainbows for 6lb 12oz. The ginger prince had 3 bows for 5lb 14oz and 1 broony that he put back.
The Rosie Bell probably took 3/4 of all the troot, I had 2 on a Jungle Cock Bibio type thing. The rosie is a gold red yellow damsel type thing. Absolutely lethal. Eeky is threatening to ban us from using them
We only fished for about 2 and a half hours as well. Great days sport as we were getting plenty of other offers as well. The wind was frozen though.
I had a nice over wintered one and my mate had one as well that led him a merry dance.
If you are thinking about going up in the near future I would as the troot are starving and well up for it. Cured my hangover as well
