Default good boat, bad boat

I was wondering if anyone else gets annoyed with the boat or engine on the boat when they are fishing some fisheries seem to have reliable engines others don't, some have tidy boats washed every night and litter removed.

I was thinking we could do a quick survey on this just name your best and worst fishery based on the standard of boats and engines.

I will start with best Draycote and worst Stocks

I can't fault AW boats, Coulam boats with well maintained engines.Always mopped out ready for the off.Maybe we should also rate fisheries as to their boat users, I can't see the need to leave litter behind, or bring undue amounts of anchor mud inboard.Have to say I've noticed the pike fisherman at Pitsford and Ravensthorpe tend to leave their boats in a right state, much to the chagrin of the wardens.Although I have my own I think it would be good if fisheries supplied, or hired drogues, and perhaps even boat seats. On the couple of occasions I've forgotten mine I would willingly pay a fiver rather than sitting on a bare board. How people sit on the boat seats all day beats me!

my reason for choosing stocks is the reliability of the engines i always seem to get one which goes really slow and never starts first pull so i lose confidence when fishing right into the features i have ended up in a right mess several times due to the engine firing first pull. I also like the luxury of having a reverse on the engine instead of turning te engine round round 180 degrees.
There is nothing wrong with boats themselves i should have maybe called thread good engine bad engine.
I must state that i am only basing this on my experience and appreciate i may have got lucky at other waters and got good engines. As i fish stocks more often than other waters the chances are that i will just due to probability have more problems.

as i said earlier i was just looking for other peoples opinions.

That's a lot of thieves 'patronising' your fishery, I imagine they don't keep to the bag limit and I bet your soap and bog roll doesn't last a day either!Top tip: Don't sell them a ticket if they're wearing a suit with arrows all over it.

I find the boats at Rutland and Grafham pretty well maintained. But at Ravensthorpe last year on two occasions I had to have a tow in (excepting the fact my ghillie mate Ecowarrior refused to row into the wind) one was engine failure and the other was running out of fuel.

I've never really had any problems with boats, the anglian water boats are brilliant, but I've never had a drama with any at stocks, I was once ready to wrap my priest around a stocks engine until I realised I hadnt opened the fuel tap at the back of the engine sometimes the problem lies with the user and not the boats
