Default Foremark Trout Fishery 2009

Foremark Trout Fishery

Will open for trout fishing on 1st April 2009 & close on October 31st 2009.
The lodge will be open from 7.30am with boats available from 8.30am.

The fishery will be managed by myself Ifor Jones although I will be based at Thornton Reservoir I will spend some of my time each week at Foremark. I will be employing a head bailiff who will be running the fishery on my behalf with additional part time bailiffs employed to cover the evening session & any time off.

While the fishery is open 7.30am to sunset or while there are anglers on the site fishing the fishery will always have a member of the fishery staff on duty.

With the reduction in the bank fishing I have priced the boats as low as possible during the week to encourage anglers to take a boat. I am also offering a part day boat morning or afternoon those sessions will be half the fishable hours that day, and an excellent value late evening boat after 6pm.

Children can share an adults permit.

Looks good Ifor , there has obvisouly a lot said on this forum about the last tenant , none of which was anything to do with your good self , more a gripe with the water board . I drop down that way every year , having family close by . So will drop in and wet a line.

All the best with your new venture..

That's very good value all round, Ifor and has answered the question posed elsewhere about prices going up.

Foremark is a nice spot. All the best with this venture.

Thumbs up A Vote for Ifor...

...the only fishery manager who could possibly provide as good a service as Phil Dixon.

I think we are all unanimous that STWA treated Phil Dixon very shabbily and have imposed some draconian and illogical rules on the fishery - however Ifor Jones has a long standing reputation in the sport for providing value and being honest and fair with the way he manages his fishery.

I still remember one of his staff telling me not to bother with an evening ticket because Thornton was fishing badly, but if I wanted to fish for an hour or so and then buy a ticket if I caught anything then that was fine....now that is what I call fair.

So, a big negative for STW , but I think we should give Ifor a chance.

I will be paying a visit.

(now - about that free ticket...)

There is currently a surplus of trout and has been since late last year, I also use the largest trout supplier in the country.

I still need two people to help me run the fishery.

All the best , can't knock the prices as good as you'll get anywhere up and down the country .

Shame this was not in 12 months time ( bound by contract) i would pay you for this opportunity.

Good look with Foremark, i have never fished the place but have fished Thornton a few times and you do a cracking job there. You get my vote.

All the best.

Mick
