I fished Ravo on Friday, and struggled to catch two fish.Eight other rods on the natural bank were blank when I left at three, though a few fish were starting to come off the dam.Apparently there were blanks on opening day, with some anglers failing to get a take.Only two boats were taking fish when I was there, and one boat returned as I left with two fish for seven hours afloat.So what is all this about then? :http://www.anglianwaterleisure.co.uk...01&parentid=92

This wasn't about my wish to bag up with suicidal stockies, it was about having accurate fishing reports.Ravensthorpe is often patchy early on, especially on the bank.Being fairly small and shallow it gets very cold-frankly, I don't relish the early days, I look forward to things settling down and having good sport with feeding fish.

Perhaps they stocked the day after you went

The report from the opening weekend does seem somewhat different from your experience!!
