ill start with this angry face as every time someone brings up this place thats exactly how i feel, its been 2 or 3 months since my uncle and i fished it but were robbed blind for a fishless cowp.i used to fish it all the time but will NEVER fish it again ,asJIM says all the character has gone with the trees along with the inflated prices for a poor return its a shame, ill say no more.

Used to be great until the trees came down and she raised her prices. As for springwaters fished that recently and its not bad at all but I would recommend that you try Lawfield as I was there on saturday and plenty of fish were being caught and moving, buzzers and damsels are doing the job there and best around for value for money.

Cheers for the replies lads.

It's a club outing so there isn't an option of going elsewhere.

I broached the subject on Sunday night and they seemed to think it was a good place and the quality of fish were superb. Don't know when they were last there though.

Shame about the trees going as it must make it quite exposed now. The weather forecast isn't the best either.

Any bits more productive than others?

I reckon it probably will be stocked with the ladies comp on the Sunday. Just need to wait and see how it go's. It will be good to get back out anyway.

I will just do what any good Kilsyth boy normally does in the circumstances, take a big carry out.

when you walk down to the water go to your left and anywhere on that side has always produced the best results for me. Black and olive buzzers do well there and mini cats too. She does stock good fighting fish and it is one of my favourites for fishing summer evenings on the dry fly.
