Default Felix Fishery

Doesnt seem to be a lot on here recently about Felix Fishery...

Myself and Lazarus plan to fish it tomorrow, and looking at the previous posts on the place, have booked a boat too.

Anyone had any recent experience of the place?

Many thanks

Neil

Did the fishing bit, lovely day, myself and lazarus in the boat, but it was extremely tough going....

I got 2 (both on booby whiskers with a Di 3) from the buoy at the top left of the lake (as you look with lodge to your back).

Lazarus got 1 on a Pitsford Pea (with a Fast Glass) variant from the centre orange buoy.

Not any great weights, but as I have seen on here, great little fighters.

On the plus side, the fish we didnt catch means another excuse to go and round em up in the next 3 months for an additional £10 fee - cant say fairer than that

Overall, a LOVELY lake that was ideal yesterday, not too much wind, and the traffic on M4 was quite easily 'detuned' after about 5 mins, and a very helpful bailiff who runs the place!!

I've been lurking for a little while, so thought it was time for a post. Great site by the way.

I've been to Felix Farm 3 times over the past few weeks, great place to learn to cast (as I'm trying to do at the moment). I've yet to see any trout caught from the bank, I hooked a nice one yesterday, but it slipped the hook (yellow daddy).

You can always keep yourself amused by catching the suicidal rudd which populate the weed on the left of the lake.

Think I might go again on Wednesday.

John

A blue flash damsel seemed to do well for me at Felix but its been a while since I've been there. I also since found out that they had some strict rules on what flies you could use. Don't know if they've still got those those rules.

Didn't notice any restrictions of flies, other than maximum hook size, haven't checked though.
