Question Lakedown or Chalk Springs?

Me, my brother and his boys have a day fishing tomorrow and this is our first full season so we're a little inexperienced.

We're concerned that Lakedown may be murky after the rain but we've been to Chalk Springs before and would really prefer to go to Lakedown if truth be told.

Which would you fish tomorrow and why?

Ta

Default lakedown 1-0 chalk springs

I have never fished Lakedown and I don't think I ever will, but if I had to choose between fishing Chalk springs or stabbing myself in the eye with a pencil, get me an eye patch!!

So it would have to be Lakedown.

Lakedown is a really nice spot.
lake one is now reserved as a speci pool.
The first two lakes can colour up after heavy rain, debatable as to if it does put the fish down or not. If it is coloured, dark flies seem to be the norm.
The arm on lake three can usually provide some fish, why they chose to linger here is anyones guess.Lake four, the far end dam seems to be popular.
Have you looked at Boringwheel?.

We went to Lakedown and we all had a really good day.

Having been to both now, my personal choice would be Lakedown every time.

Great venue, good fishing and superb surroundings. I'm really looking forward to returning sometime soon.

Boringwheel is on our list of places to try, we will probably be going there next.

You must have fished at Coltsford Mill,it must be on your doorstep.
Albury is not too far away from you,and if you are not bothered too much about scenery Brick Farm Lakes are prolific.

Yup, I've been fishing Coltsford Mill over the winter and needed a bit of variety.

I've now looked at the Albury website and it looks very nice, it's on the list, thanks.
