Default What news Farmoor?

I'm planning to visit Farmoor this week, hopefully the warmer weather will help things.Any reports? Is Farmoor 1 still shut?
Thanks,
Gads

best to see the Farmoor thread on this forum, but Farmoor has been iced over for about a week. Gather its clearing now but good to give the Rangers a call to check.

Think later in the week and weekend should be warmer weather and so better fishing.

Farmoor I is now closed until new season (March 15th I think - will check and post update later in the week).

Default a timely post

Thanks for posting Gads and thanks for replying Jane. I didnt know that Farmoor was iced up and I've already packed the car up for a days fishing tomorrow. I might head out to Lechlade/Bushyleaze instead, their website says mostly ice free...

I'd be surprised if it's still frozen. The Bartmesiter and I toured Beds and Herts today visiting various venues

None were fully frozen but most were flooded seriously into the fields, which I do not think can happen at Farmoor. Ended up at Rib which was a bit frozen and a bit flooded but caught fish.

Thanks for the replies- was the reservoir frozen just round the edges? I've seen Ravensthorpe frozen right over, but that is more sheltered than Farmoor.
