14th march is open season for brown trout.

I always thought the Brown Trout Season began 15th March..........its does in the Clubs i`m a member of.

ah sorry, you mean its still closed season until after the 14th, fishery rules must apply, catchers responsibility to put them back.

Brown Trout season opens on the 15th March until the 6th October. It is illegal to take, that is kill, a Brown Trout in the close season.

Just opening a day early because it's a Saturday. The same rules apply as from the 6th to the 31st of October. All Brown Trout are to be returned.
