Apparently it's 14th March, seems like a life time away! That being said March can be grim up there.

Got the date of Gwilym Hughes' website.

I did hear that they were thinking of opening early for Pike, I know they stay open later in the season, I guess they are looking for a few more pennies.

There's a short bank fishing season for pike this month.

Also heard that they are to stock 40 000 fish this season that should get the lake fishing as it used to

The new season kicks off on march 14th with abumper stocking going in for opening day so that that your new rods, lines and new inventions at the vice can be tested and hopefully successfull. the minimum size of fish will be 1 1/2 lbs but there will be plenty of fish in the 4 to 5 lb bracket just to make things interesting . the usuall early season approach of goldheads on inter lines along with boobies on fast sinkers will work off the bank and fast sinkers with lures, blobs and boobies etc will work from the boats . booking a boat would be advisable for the opening week end

Could someone ask them to put the heating on a week before opening day so that it airs our properly. It's soooo blooming cold up there at the start of the season...
