Charliea1234 is on a distinguished road
Default Rib Valley Feb 1

Rib fished really well yesterday given the weather - a freezing Easterly and ice in the rod rings - for the annual Brian Austen Memorial, which is a C&R competition with no boobies allowed.

It was actually won by a youngster who trashed a strong field, including an England international, with nine fish. There were two sevens and then a few of us with five or six. Only a couple of blanks.

Best method was an intermediate with an unweighted lure fished very close or parallel to the bank. There were also some really big fish caught - biggest 7lbs 5ozs and several over 6lbs.

Worth a visit in spite of the weather.

Charlie
