Default Moffat Fishery

Hi Guys,got a day down at Moffat fishery coming up.Anybody fished it lately?? Been a wee while from when i was last down there fishing it,though i`ve heard the restaurant there is now closed? Cheers Andy

i fished there a couple of month ago killed 2 (not very big) fish chased the fly most casts.only 3 fishers on all day 1 went away in the huff (no fish).restaurant still open when i was there

Thanks for that info.How was the weed when you were there?Last i fished there it was quite badly affected with it?Cheers Andy

weed not that bad most fish above the weed that i seen damsels with 3 strands of tinsel through the tail fished well

Cheers mate for the replies.We are down there on 31st January.Restaurant is closed at the moment,they are looking for someone to take over the franchise for it. Andy

hi linebar how did you get on at moffat thinking of going down in a couple of weeks if the fishing was good cheers

Never made it down myself though the rest of the guys did.Not a lot of fish caught between the guys,with a few blanks and the top rod catching their 3 fish limit.Seems to be very weedy by all acounts. Andy
