Default Tomorrow

Firstly happy new year to everyone!

Just looking to see if anyone fancies one of the stirling-ish area fisheries tomorrow? Probably swanswater or wellsfield since they should be ice-free. I'm tempted to go along and try my luck, try and get my first dam trout on the fly!

Guys, i'm actually thinking about heading to swanswater as they have the smaller pools, and to be honest i don't care what people say about the smaller pools, i'm just looking to get a few fish under my belt before trying to challenge myself!

Went to Wellsfield today..approx 20 fishing and approx 8 fish caught (between 9-13.30). There was nothing moving at all. I managed only one rainbow 2lb 12oz on a yellow dancer, using a fast glass intermediate.
Will try Swanswater next time i am up that way.
Urban..sent you pm mate.

cheers Diarmid.

I went to swanswater and blanked There was a quite a few trout moving and even more caught, but i just couldnt seem to find the right flies, a guy was catching LOADS on a small black nymph, not sure what it was though. I tried cats whisker, GHRE, PTN, bloodworm, buzzers......just wasnt happening to me. I'm going to try a dancer next time, they seemed to be doing well.
