Looking forward to first footing and catching my first trout on thursday if any fisheries are open and also if there are any fisheries that will be ice-free this week as forecast is to be freezing temperatures all week.
Has anyone been able to fish at any fisheries around scotland this week?.
If so please list here as the festive tv rubbish is driving me mad!!!!!.

Wellsfield and Swanswater have aerator thingies to keep the water circulating to beat the ice but doubt they will be open on New Years Day. You would need to check their websites maybe.

I`ve fished Springwater-Xmas and Boxing Day,Borland-28th,Rosslynlee-27th and 29th.Found fisheries open not the problem,feeding fish-well that`s a different matter.Andy
