Default Woodington Sun 4th Jan

Myself and Lazarus are off here on Sunday, for out 1st fluff chuck of the year. Any tips? We are looking at the 2 fish then c & r ticket, which I know excludes us from one of the lakes.

Yeah :s just checked the forecast...

But with a bit of luck it will be like Holbury Lakes at the beginning of this month, where the temp was -6 at 9.30am, but the lakes were still fishable

Quite right there Chub1 - it was frozen over...

Still, turned back up A36, and went to Holbury Lakes again - all four lakes were fishable, only far lake had ice on it!

Was a bit spooked at how 'ghostly' the blues looked tho - just sat there close to top patrolling like sharks, investigating/following the fly, but turning away.

I managed a 2lb 5oz rainbow with a stealth buzzer, and lazarus got 2 rainbows, both on a blob and sink tip line......

Hopefully (and forecast is a bit more promising) Lechlade is ok on Sat, failing that, a trip to Farmoor again
