Default Foremark Lease Up for Grabs!!

I’ve just picked up my copy of Trout Fisherman and read that Foremark Trout fishery lease is up for grabs!! Does anybody know why?

Phil Dixon was doing a cracking job and this was fast becoming one of the most popular fisheries in the area. It's a real shame if he's not going to be there next season.

I would suspect thats why , advertised as a 3 year lease , Phil,s had 3 years , got the fishery on its feet , heres the payback , re advertise the lease , Phil pay us more for your hard work or we will give the lease to someone else.

Default newspaper article

Here's an article from the local paper...

http://www.burtonmail.co.uk/burtonma....asp?ID=377065

doesn't look good does it?

But wouldn't expect very muchmore from Severn Trent based on their performance in other area (massive fines for cookings the books, sacking whistle-blowers, mistakes on bills).

And their motto is "Your water - safe in our hands".
Ever tried holding someone else's water in your hands?
not recommended.

This is absolutely appalling and a disgraceful way to behave towards someone who has put so much hard work into turning round this fishery.

Foremark would not be in the position it is today without Phil Dixon and Severn Trent should show some appreciation for his work by renewing his lease.

I think all the regular visitors and fly fisherman in the area should meet at Foremark to protest at such shoddy treatment of hard working young man.

Hi James,
I agree with you it is appalling !!,
I spoke to Phil earlier today and that's exactly what they have done, putting up the lease to the highest bid. Phil is in the running to regain the lease on Foremark and hopefully he will be successful, after all he has put Foremark on the map but unfortunatly loyalty is soon forgotten.
Fred.
