Default Fife fisheries

Anyone have any recent reports from Raith Lake near Dunfermline. I'm up in Culross for a few days at the out-laws and have a free-pass for the 19th Dec. Its fishing on the Friday or Dunfermline v Clyde on the Saturday and I'd rather do the former.

With Bangour closed for the season it will be Raith or Golden Loch unless anyone can recommend somewhere else.

EDIT: Happy to drive 45 min/1 hr for a few hours fishing.

Hi,
dont know about Raith Lake , I've not fished there for a couple of years.
The Goldenloch I do fish quite often, it is very laid back as is John the owner.
The fish are of good quality and give a good fight.

regards Gary

I was out on lindores today and blanked not even a sniff. Three boys bait fishing from the bank for pike and one of them caught two trout which were covered with some sort of parasite inside and out. Not very nice. Si I'd give lindores a miss, I'm defenetly not going back. Passed goldenloch on way back home and it was frozen solid, so best to phone there first to make sure you can get out, or check there website. Theres also a wee place called parkview which is a decent place to go it's just down the road from goldenloch.

Default Rosslynlee

Hi space_monkey.
I'd suggest nipping back over the bridge and heading for Rosslynlee on Saturday. You'd get there from Dunfermlime in about 45mins - well worth the trip.
If you are going - better booking first as it can be busy at the weekends.

John

Made it over to Swanswater this morning, got in a couple of hours before the wind and rain/sleet got too much to ignore. Took out a lovely 2.5lb rainbow and missed a couple also. Very impressed with the place, nice variety of fishing around the banks, chatty locals and friendly owner, hopefully I'll make it back next week before heading back down south.
