Default Norton in Essex

Have any forum menbers fished at Norton Fisheries in Essex?

Whilst we normally fish at Chiboro and really enjoy it there, Norton isnt too much farther and you get an extra fish for the same price at Chiggers

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I usually fish Norton quite regularly although due to work not so much this year.

It can be hard work but if you keep on the move you can generally find the fish somewhere

This time of year I would use either an intermediate line or di3 with a white hot tail zonker, cats whisker or tadpole.

Start in the deep water opposite the lodge and like I said just keep moving round until you find the fish.

Again it's not an easy fishery but the fish are there and good quality.

Good luck

Only fished it once.Did well on buzzers, although a lot of the fish were very small and four others with me blanked, mind you,it was a cold spring day with a gale blowing.
Guy said he had probs with cormorants tearing open the nets, thus allowing the fish to escape. Now,i have heard this ongoing story from others since my visit.
Supposed to be five acres,Mmmmm, not so sure about that.We also wanted a boat, but none were available.
Would fish it again, decent enough owner and despite the small fish, they did scrap well enough.
