Question frozen over.

could not get any fishing done at the weekend due to all the lochs and ponds being frozen over due to the cold spell.
Did anyone in scotland get any or know off any waters that were ice free??

Aye - me and HUK were fishing for a few hours on saturday morning......in the snow !

After not seeing a fish rise nor any interest whatsoever , HUK decided enough was enough and headed off to the hut/caravan for a hot cuppa ...upon which I stuck on a spandex buzzer for a desperate "you never know" last few casts.......and sure enough "bang!"....1 - 0.........

Decided to call it a day due to numb fingertips....but happily no blank for me - lol.

I had a couple of hours on Coyle water on Saturday morning. Was getting fish on lures and buzzers. They weren`t that far down either.

Was it at Skelmorlie by any chance Steve?

Thinking of going down this weekend sometime and was wondering if it is ice free. If you could let me know that would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

P.S. HUK must be special - never had a cuppa down there before!

Indeed it was Stef.
No ice to be seen other than dangling from HUK's hooter.
Yeh I didn't know about the Cuppa's either - apparrantly you have to make it yourself tho.......James must be getting generous in his old age.
Lemme know if you are going and I'll pop round tho we were thinking of chancing the Haylie this weekend....last time I was down there was a lot of Char moving and they seem quite lively in the very cold weather.
