Visited Witton yesterday - 28th. Very cold in the morning totally white with frost. Fished the big lake with little success, got 2 on a Daddy just below the surface in a calm corner where there was some surface activity. In the afternoon fished the lake by the lodge, got 8 to a small black goldhead lure fished on a floating line - hooked and lost at least the same number. All fish around 3lbs with one about 4 1/2 lbs.(all fight well above their weight)
Saw the frost and almost did not go - had a cracking day must be about the best NE venue with a great stocking policy.
