Thumbs up

I was up last week Pete and had a great time. Weather wasn't too bad and the fishing was great. I had about 12 and finished early! We were wimps and were fishing at the west end to get some shelter from the wind, however this seemed to be where the majority of the fish were. There were plenty fish getting caught regularly beside us, whereas the guys who were down the east end, weren't getting as many but it may have been due to the strong wind down that end.
I fished with a floater all day and got most of my fish on a black and gold humungus at the start. Once the fish became a bit more shy, I got them floating a couple of red head diawl bachs at the edge of the ripple. Tried the dries but didn't get an offer. Others were catching on various dancers at the start of the day but had to move on to nymphs later to keep the rods bending.

All fish were about 2 1/2 to 3lb and fought like stink. Last fish I got was a blue about 4lb which had me down to the backing a couple of times - great fun.

Only thing to say is try and get there during the week. It's always heaving at weekends and if you don't get one of the favourable platforms, casting can be a problem in a strong wind (which there usually is up there)

Stick to the road shore end and fish a floater with ateam of Buzzers. failing that a yellow dancer or adamsel that always works there. One thing to remember though if you are going catch and release you are not allowed to net them. This can be quite tricky as some of the platforms are raised and it can be afunny bend to the less flexible

Hi Pete,i fish Rosslynlee fairly often,it`s a cracking wee water. Will be back over to fish it on 29th November,i`ll put a report up on how i get on.At this time of year i would stick to the shallow end.Anywhere from where they keep the two boats round to the first couple of platforms after wooden bridge. There`s three pegs that are on their own, where the burn runs in,these are normally always good spots. As for flies bloodworm, dancers and damsels are always good for a fish or two.
