Ward is on a distinguished road
Default Farmoor Reservoir, Oxford - 22.10.08

I reside in Cornwall and on 22.10.08 I had the pleasure of fishing Farmoor 1'catch and release' for a full day and second time this year. Again experienced a superb day netting and releasing 6 magnificent Rainbows of 4lbs+ 7lbs+ 3lbs+ 4lbs+ 3lbs+ and 8lbs. Only flies fished all day - Spectral Bloodworm, Hog Louse and weighted GRHE nymph. Electrifying takes and awesome power runs taking at least 50yards of my backing braid. All fish had fully grown tails like shovels. All very carefully returned in excellent condition with no bleeding. Thanks to the highly professional and committed running of Farmoor 1 alongside Farmoor 2 by the Ranger Mr Maxwell and his collegues, there cannot be a finer Reservoir trout fishery in the UK.
