Another very good week of fishing was had by anglers visiting the fishery and most were coming to a range of flies which depended on the day itself.dries took,buzzers took and so did lures and blobs.Okey dokeys in lime and white,bloodworm patterns,orange blob and pink blobs and budgies with red scruffs were the pick.An 11lb 13ozs rainbow was the reward for Stuart Dickie on a pink fritz,Pete Green had a nice 9lb 4oz fish among his 17 fish haul,with Karen gillies not far behind with 12 fish,John Clark had a beauty of a Brown returned over 4lbs,Gordon Grant had an 8lb fish among his 12,and Colin Gauld had a clonker of a fish over 16lbs among his 10 fish.Youngster, Ben Grundie had a fish of 5lbs 6ozs,Willie Petrie had a 5lb fish,with Jim Eddie taking 20 fish with a 7lb 4ozs and a 5lb 1ozs fish in the bag,chris Johnston had a good day with 17 and had a char,a Brown of over 7lbs which was returned and a rainbow of 4lb 2ozs,Zander Christie had 15,L Tyson had 10,G Robertson had 12,Jim Munro had 11as did J Mckail and J McKail jnr who also had a 3lb 5oz Blue trout.T Stevenson had 16 fish.On the coarse loch matthew West was rewarded with his patience with a nice Common carp of 13lbs on sweetcorn fished on the bottom.many Improvements have been done in the last 2 weeks and comments have been very favourable and to the benefit of the angler.Good bag weights have come in the winter singles competition which has just started.On 22nd and 23 rd November there is a chance for anglers to come to the fishery on 22nd only, from 10am to 1pm where Instructors from Gaia will be available at a casting clinic to help with anyone who wants to iron out any casting faults or needs help with a casting issue.All are welcome and if you are interested in seeing what you need to do to become an instructor this is an opportunity to ask and see what you need to do.Some top instructors will be there to help with any casting or angling problems.
