Minkies, Damsels, #14 Olive & Black Buzzers. All fished painfully slow on the small lake next to the lodge.

I've been there this weekend... small lake is fine, but the others are doing equally well I think...

The guy oposite me, on the middle one, in space of half an hour cought 5-6 ... could not look at it any more so walked away Don't know which fly he used but it seems fish liked it very much

I had couple of 2-3 pounders on both lakes... lot of hits on both with lures... olive and black... couple of misses with daddy...

Hope this helps

Default Witton Castle

If the fish are showing ( normally on the more sheltered parts) of the larger lake) try CDC ( I use smaller sizes, cant see the plumes but sometimes see the fish move) fish slow or static. I also use small ( 14,16 & 18) black spiders) which can be pulled.
If nowt showing try zonkers or rabbit tailed lures with SERIOUS weight on board together with floating line. Cast as far as, let it sink to the bottom - getting fish on the lift.( Tried various other combinations with little success).
In warmer weather miniscule nymphs (Hares Ear and PTN) are worth a try SLOW.
You need a wind for Witton and today it blew.
Some crackin fish in the lakes
Enjoy
