Howdy , were off to Linlithgow again this weekend hoping to hook up with a few of those notoriously hard fighting blueys......

Anybody been recently ...hows it fishing ??

Was there 2 weeks ago and most fish were taken down the bottom area with cormorants on floating lines.

Well it was tough going on Saturday........the club had 7 fish in total - pretty poor return.
Water was very murky due to torrential downpours the day before and probably didn't help much , pretty breezy and bright , not a lot of surface movement either.

I had heaviest fish (for a change! Hooray) a very nice condition bow at 4 1/2lb taken on a cormorant.
Quite a few blanks.....the fish that were landed were very good condition and as usual for Linlithgow they fought like hell. (what is it with the troot in that loch they are absolutely mental ).

Totally agree with that, best fighting fish I've ever caught.

They should get in there with an Enegizer sponsorship ! lol !
