Default Harelaw Trout Fishery REPORT

Fishing has been slower this week with fish lying deeper .

Billy Dewar had fish to 6Ibs on buzzers on floating lines

Andy Mckenzie had fish of the month with a 8Ib 4 oz rainbow on a mini cat

Paul nicholl bagged up on a day where everyone else struggled on a Di5 line with a single peach blob on a long leader as reccomended by me after my good friend Alex Wilkie suggested i try it. IT WORKED

Some very big fish have been reported smashing casts up too 8Ib B.S by experienced anglers, the same happened yesterday with James devlin losing a huge fish estimated over 10pounds after an epic 15 minute battle. Fish was hooked in the main bay on a Minkie and finally lost after it went under the boat.

Boat times will be 9.30 am onwards for october. winter deals available.

Default Big Harelaw Brownie

John macfarlane had a huge brown today on a Large Black Lure off the 3rd dam wall. He estimated it over 6Ibs which is a peach of a fish. He had a 5pounder 2 years ago so he wont be far off.

Well done John.

Default Fry Feeding

Some nice fish have been caught this week in very shallow water on various fry patterns.

A humungus is always a good bet at this time of year from the bank as is a cats whisker in a big wave.

Charlie o neil had 3 today on the pollocks shore for 9Ibs 4 oz all on hot head damsel.
John mcwilliams returned 2 and lost a nice fish in the same area on cormorants and diawl bachs.

Ian Mcgarry had 6 for 15Ibs 8oz on a Di3 and lures off the big island.

Hi Alex,

Myself and Doonicus are planning on coming up for a day this month sometime and was wondering what the winter deals are with the boats?

Thanks in advance

Few forum members on today, very hard going by most i think, though some nice brownies caught, was looking forward to this evening and yes black don there was a mega rise on , rose a fish on my second cast to a stimulator, covered loads fished till 7.....RESULT .....BLANK

the novice in the single boat had 2 crackers at the death for near 7Ibs on a snowman ??? white fritz with uv i believe.

G Steele had 3

Kenny anderson 1 for 4Ibs 6oz

Colin Carroll 3 on c&r cdc,s and hoppers

D, Williamson 2 for 5Ibs 07oz black hoppers

very cold and hard going in bright sunshine today. Most fish caught from 5pm to 6 then it died.
