Default Fewston Reservoir 2008

fished there yesterday bright sunshine in the morning and cloudy in the afternoon made no bloody difference anyway was tough all day. top catch of four fish i had one nice fish though had something to do with all the water comin in from thurscross for kayakin i think. Would go again tho i like the place

Yep - when the water comes in from Thruscross it kills the fishing on Fewston. There's a list of the days it is happening in the lodge. On these days the regulars fish Fewston in the morning then move down onto Swinsty for the afternoon. It's a lovely spot to fish though - easily one of the prettiest fisheries in the UK.

sunburst blob did the biz but had a lot interest on diawl bachs and crunchers there was no surface activity at all and i was told to move to swinsty if they were kayakin but was to lazy to walk all the way back round lol
