Default Carron

Hi All

Not seen much about Carron lately. Fished it on Saturday and had a great day, plenty rainbows and brownies (wild). I was also surprised to see an Osprey fishing and missing, thought they should be away by now but according to Fraeser they are arriving earlier and leaving later.

Also on the day there were plenty of Powan caught, one rod had 5.

Cheers
Kenny

Hi Kenny, I thought you might have wanted to keep saturday quiet seeing as how the young pretender pumped you

Dear David

Just to put the record straight, 11 - 9 is not a pumping. Especially since you took advantage of an old man and made me take the engine so I obviously put you over the fish. Also I could not believe the underhand tactics you employed in trying to knock my fish off with net and worse still deliberately catching my rod with your flies when I was playing a fish. But worst of all was insisting it was a 6 o'clock finish instead of 5 o'clock. Just as well we got in at 5.30 or you would have had me banned from the water.

So how did you get on today?

Kenny

Mr Finlayson

From my recollection of saturdays events, I was skelping you 9-4 when I decided to take the foot off the gas so to speak and allow you to regain some much needed respect on the fishing front! 2 pumpings on the trot might have dented your confidence big man As for knocking your fish off at the net, I dont recall such an incident taking place Again as for me catching your line with my flies, if you had managed to control that 12oz rainbow on that 'tow rope' of a leader of yours it wouldnt have swam over to my side of the boat I thought you may have mentioned how I caught my last fish

Nah only kidding mate, had a great day cheers, not a bad teacher and cheap at half the price

Never went out today, waste of a day off

Dear David

As you know by now I always let you get a few in front it makes for a more interesting day as I don't want you to get disheartened early on. Just that on the last 2 occaissions I slightly mistimed my comeback. As for TRYING to knock my fish off at the net at least you are owning up to casting over my rod when I wasn't looking when I was playing a fish.

Again, how did you get on today?
Kenny

Kenneth

I have re-edited my previous post I have to thank you allowing me to get a few fish in front and giving me at least some sense of impending victory however, I guess as we (you) get older your sense of time must get somewhat hazy and therefore you where unable to judge correctly how much time to allow yourself a significant comeback against the new kid on the block It happens to the best of us im sure. I wont even mention how lucky you where when we approached rainbow corner and you predicted on your next cast you would hit a fish

Obviously down to luck, not skill

nae bother Davie, kenny takes it well

Had a great day, we hit fish almost right away, I had a decent brownie swirl at my first cast, then we both hit rainbows pretty much right away! Kennys a good angler and had us on fish all day. carrons a great big water, well run and plenty of good fish.

Great report guys....perhaps you could write our fortnightly fishing report for us?

I am however curious as to how many of your 20 fish were caught in the additional 35 minutes you had over every other angler on Saturday???

As always its a pleasure to have you here...........see you Thursday!

Tight lines,

Fraser

Fraser,

First off, let me apologise for our lateness, Kenny said we were due in at 5pm, I said 6pm, in the end we agreed on 5.30pm Oh and to be fair I had to give kenneth a chance at leveling the scores

I will let him answer your last question

Cheers, see you thursday
