Default Menteith

Off to Menteith on Saturday for our annual trip. Anyone fished it recently and can give any advice or pointers. Do you think they'll be on top after the flying ants that we seem to have been besieged by this weekend

As always - any help greatly received (I need it!!)

If no-one has fished it recently can anyone advise which drifts might be worth a shot in the fairly strong north easterly that's forecast for Saturday. I've never fished it when the wind has been from this direction. Is it better to hide in the shelter of the east end marks or try drifting onto the malling shore?

Stable point to Malling burn.Hotel bay to reedy bay onto Sams point.Tod hole to the Butts.Dog island to Malling shore.Heronry to Silage pits.Across gateside bay.Across Lochend.

should be a few fish there.

Thanks Jim - that narrows it down a bit Although I would imagine if I stick to those drifts, it'll be a farly safe bet that the fish will be all along the road shore on Saturday!!

I'm only recommending these drift's because of the north east wind.

and anyway Bill would say 'Cages bay .Road shore'
