I went to Danebridge in Wincle today, the weather was hot with some cloud cover.
The aerator pumps mean fresh water is constantly being pumped in and the fish congregate around this in the oxygenated water.
Early in the day the fish were taking nymphs 2 or 3 feet down taking nymphs and crunchers or PTNs fished on a floating line slowly figured of eighted back was the method to use.
When the sun got up however the fish moved deeper and the same tactics could be used but with a gold-head on the point ( I used a Montana) to get the flies deeper.
A few fish were caught on dries in the morning but the hot sun put off the trout later in the day.
