smartfly2007 is on a distinguished road
Default holl fishery

anybody fished here lately never fished it before so looking for tips ,tactics and flys fishing it on the 14th september

smartfly 2007,
It's not fishing good at the moment.
It should pick up by the date your fishing it. There is some cracking fish in it,well worth a visit. The area furthest away from the the pier in front of the cottage is a good starting point with buzzers, as is down the road shore. Driffting in front of the dam[depending on the wind diretion], over the deeper water is also productive. The dry fly, in particular a black hopper in the surface, even if there's nothing rising, because the fish will come up for it.

as brian says, hoppers are always a good bet, i fish claret hoppers with a holographic rib and always seem to pick up fish, also small green and orange buzzers do well.
