Default Any fishery recommendations??

Could anyone recommend any good fisheries in central scotland? I have returned to still water recently and have tried Newmills, Kypeside, Carbeth and Quarter. So far Quarter is the best but it's a little too small and can get very busy as bait and fly on only 1 pond.

There are a few in the Stirling and surrounding areas. Swanswater is pretty but can be busy. Northird is best by boat although bank fishing is possible although you might want to use waders as the margins are shallow. Millhall reservoir near Polmont has clean water and the fish are always in good condition. I haven't fished Wellsfield for over a year. Top water Lochan was pea soup and quite foul looking really. Lake of Menteith is good value. Boat only I think, but a four hour boat evening session for two rods, including fuel, was £23, which I think is good value. Burnhouse Lochan can attract some noisy types but I have to say I always catch fish there.

Good luck.

Coyle Water

I enjoy Coyle, decent fish.

Moffat (Hammerlands)

Big fish and Gin clear, can be a bit weedy though.

Default Linlithgow

I'd also recommend Linlithgow loch or Beecraigs if you're looking for something a bit more secluded.

I think this is probably pushing it a bit to be classed as the Central belt
