Booked to fish this today and confirmed that hostilities started at 9am.
When my two mates and myself arrived at 8.30 all the pegs at the bottom of the lochan occupied and anglers hard at it.
We bought our permits and headed up to the top end to find a space. Quickly realised why the top end was empty, it was chocked with weed!
No other areas were clear for us to fish in and we had to return to the hut for a refund of our money.
Was told it was possible to catch fish in the weed so what was my problem!!!!

Got our money back and headed off to Glenshirupp.

Was very angry that after travelling up there, it was clear that 50% of the fishery was unfishable yet bookings were still being taken.
If you are thinking of giving it a go ask about the weed first. Also arrive VERY early as those in the know, know about the weed!!!!!!
