Thumbs down Burns trout fishery

Fished burns trout fishery on sunday evening, what a waste of time never got one touch let alone any fish, caught plenty of weed.
The only fish i seen being caught was from the bait pond.the bubble brigade were out in force and catching plenty.
Anyone had success at this fishery..

I fished it early season this year, I turned up when a competition was on the fly pond so we where diverted to a smaller pond that was their catch and release pond, it was muddy under foot and the embankment was rather steep, I caught well on a damsel but my son blanked. My son disliked it so we have not returned.

I blanked there a few weeks ago but my mate caught a total of 11 fish in the fly pond so what should I do, give it a thumbs up or down????

Come to think about it, I blanked at Wellsfield about 4 weeks ago and lots of other people too maybe I should give them the thumbs down aswell??

It's called fishing for a reason isn't it?

Maybe your mate is a better fisherman than you.

Why give thumbs up or down why not just give an account of your day and your experience, I have only been fishing since April but I do not blame the fishery for me blanking, I could be using the wrong fly or I am presenting the fly wrong. I was in Scotland in June I fished at Broom, Coyle and Burns I never caught at Broom but my wife did we both never caught at Coyle could see lots of fish but could not get them to take and we fished at Burns I caught 7 my wife only one in the last half an hour.

In the last couple of weeks I have blanked but I don’t blame the places I have fished I made up for it last Saturday when I fished at Delbury Hall I caught 6 but the farther and son that turned up for an hour never even had a bit, I also love fishing Llyn Clywedog I have not caught in the last 2 visits I have had bites but I have failed to connect, I will be back there this Saturday because I enjoy the challenge as much as catching.

Cool

I fished plenty of waters over the last few years and had blank days and yes i enjoy a good days fishing if i catch or dont catch.
I fish some bigger waters in kintyre at this time of year as i find the water is that bit cooler and fresher than some of the small stillwaters which can suffer with the warmer temperatures.

always a pile of shat when you get a blank from a full days fishing and very frustrating.

Sometimes you get a feel for whether thats the normal caper for a specific fishery and end up telling people its pish.

Without going back a few times its hard to say if its me or the fishery.

Ive blanked a few times at burns but if people ask me if its good or bad i just say i dont go there much.

My old man and his cronies hit it all the time and catch.

Maybe its us?? better just moving on that saying its horse toffee !!
