Blithfield must be pretty close to you and can be excellent. The boat fishing can be good now, top of the water on dries with the bank fishing best early season.

Draycote (Rugby) is an easy run down the motorway for you too - well worth it and fishing well at the moment. Boat gives you more options, but perimeter road gives easy access to all areas from bank too. Its my second favourite water next to Carsington

Default Donkhill

There is always Donkhill:
Large hole in ground filled with large stockies

You will catch fish, they will be stockies but big ones....

check before you go, as I recall they have to close due to blue-green algae in the summer.
