It is fishing terrible, the water is filthy and weeded up apart from the deep hole in the middle, to have any chance you need to anchor up and fish deep into the hole.

They have put loads of fish in but hardly any coming out, guess is they are heading into the deep water to escape the very heavily weeded dirty warm water, infact a friend who is a member has stopped fishing it and he gets on free!

My advice, go somewhere else

I should add that i have not fished it, i am going on what has been said by regulars on the water including a few ex internationalists and commitee members!

Yet to fish it although I was down sussing it out a few weeks ago. The chap in the lodge was very positive and said most of the action was taking place in the bay by the palace...certainly it was mobbed when I was down and was told getting a weekend slot was unlikely.

I have heard a few of the locals saying it has been fishing well this season but looks like this info is now out of date

Shame as I have been meaning to go one night after work.

The fish were very spooky. i had 1 best bag was 5 fish on floating line ,diawl bach, in the shallows up the east end.there was plenty of fish showing but casting over rising fish did not result in a take there was also a head of fish in the right hand side of the west end.I will like to return when the fish turn on.
Water was not so dirty or the weed so bad. i have seen it worse,

Jim
