Fished it from 4pm til 8pm. Some fish has come out earlier in the day but the fish were on the bottom apparently. The water was a bit coloured but a few fish were moving around sporadically. Hard going but I finally managed one on a damsel nymph fished about 6 feet down on an intermediate. Didn't see any others come out during he time I was there. I had a couple of follows and nips at the tail but that was it.

catching a fish is a bonus its nice just being at a great place like Garnffrd.
IVe been fishing there for about 20 years only 1or 2 times a year if
im lucky. I caught a salmon there years ago which give me a hell of a fight.
They stocked them for a while.

No Salmon in there now though, browns, rainbows, tigers and blues. As you say a cracking fishery and probably my favourite for many reasons. Never perhaps the easiest place to catch but then it wouldn't be the same if it was full of fresh stockies that couldn't fight their way out of a wet paperbag would it.
