Carron Valley is on a distinguished road
Default Carron valley report 22 July 08

Again we’ve seen some good catches over the last week or so with most fish being taken on dry’s, buzzers and sedgehogs in the evening sessions and a mixture of nearly everything during the day sessions. The warmer weather has brought some terrific rises, mainly in the evenings although some day sessions have shown great rises when the weather has been favourable.

We’ve seen a whole load of blues coming off to both the anglers and the Ospreys, as well as a fair number of double figure rainbows.

A few recent catches include;

GArtmore AC – 24 for 45lb 10oz + 25 returned (biggest 10lb)

Bill Holleran has returned 43 fish over two outings

D McAlpine – 36 all returned

Mr Brunton & Mr Mason – 8 for 18lb 4oz + 17 returned

Scottish Fire & Rescue – 38 for 75lb 1oz +12 returned

Special mention to Mrs Sinclair from Glasgow who landed a lovely 9lb 4 oz fish on her second outing this year.
