Hi all i was out sat day yes there is algal bloom not as bad as you think
had 5hour boat and landed 6 fish lost 5 fish all so seen few others take fish as well

well all im doing is passing on info given to me this morning by the rangers, i called to book an evening boat there and was told the bloom is now very bad and has really killed off the fishing, so i may drive over to Chew or Blagdon later in the week .....tight lines......Chris

Hi SIM, i never thought that for one moment mate, as i said i called the rangers office about lunchtime on monday to book a boat for the evening and his words were, yes theres plenty of boats available but i wouldn't bother as the algal bloom is so bad and its totally killed off the fishing,
so i posted it here so that if anyone was thinking of visiting this water they could call the office to check if the bloom has cleared.
hopefully it will have cleared in a week or two i can then have a few evenings there, its been fishing so well this year, do you bank or boat fish there Sim?.

i only boat fish but have a few mates that bank fish
if there is any wind on the lake the bloom is not so
bad but if no wind it is bad i was told the evening is
not fishing that good but day time is ok
