I have a few hours in Swansea next week and I'm looking to spend some of the time fishing. Can anyone suggest anywhere within 10 miles of swansea?
Probably a stillwater rather than a river due to time constraints.

papermills forrestfach is close if you only got few hrs but it is small but heavely stocked with nice fish from 2lbs to doubles

I can't find any info on Papermills. Is there a website?

there is no web site but i can post the phone number here in morning for you as i havent used the number cant put my hand to it but i will get the full address and number of father-in-law and post it here if that will help they do a full report on how the lake is fishing in local evening post every thuesday.hope this helps chris

Not as close to Swansea as you would like but I would suggest you take a trip to Garnffrwd outside Cross Hands,magical fishery,good prices,c and r and really strong full finned fish.If you pick up a copy of Trout Fisherman this month theres a write up on it,or PM me for the details(not the easiest to find unfortunately)

theres also the shimano big fish water at felindre which is close to swansea, or if you would sooner fish a bigger water theres alway eglwys newedd water at the port talbot steel works.

If it was me, I'd head a few miles west and explore the Pennard Pill, a delightful little limestone river, and with a chance of sea trout too, or so I'm told.
