Default rutland

i am planning to fish rutland on this week i have only ever fished the north arm and have only fished rutter twice i was wondering what areas and methods have been working.Is floating line and buzzers or lures. Please help me.

Was down at Rutland last week the main basin is the place mate its loaded with fish slow glass nymphs we had fish up to 5lb and they fight like tigers so fish good leaders ,all around the boils were fishing for the rudder guysbut we found fish all over the basin W and X ,V Bouys,hope this helps mate

Fished on Saturday , the fish are still in the main basin as prev post , but some good fish have come from manton on the bung.

Default carp

had a stunning carp out of rutland last tuesday Egg fly on the bung!!
fished the middle basin most of the day for only 9 trout. had a nice brown around the 9lb mark though all took eggs static under the bung 10 casts all day 10 fish!

I was on Rutland last tuesday mate and it was blowing 17 to 20 mph so you must have good eyes to see a bung in those waves ,me and my mate had 9 fish pulling di3 and that was hard work with the wind,what size off bung do you use

Default bubble float

well that's a good point. i use what's called a bubble float. cast it out and wait for a take! it was a choppy day though but as long as your wrapped up nice and warm with a good pack lunch its fine. the carp by the way was around 12lb stunning fish. got some good fillets out of it, just need the weather now and it can be cooked on the barbecue.
