Default I Love Leven!!!

Just back from an evening session, what a great evening! Nothing doing to begin with, fished deep with wets to no avail. Nice sunset though...

..after which the wind dropped enough for a very sparse buzzer hatch and a fish or two are rising. Out with the dries, rising fish covered and we're off. Jumps 4ft in the air then takes off like a train, almost to the backing and still going strong when...ping! Blue air! Hook broken Nice fish too, looked 2lbs+

Get sorted out, spot another fish, cover it, make a hash, strip in to recast and he has a go anyway but misses! Blue air!! Cover him again, pull again and he's on. Not as big as the one I lost but a bonny fish and in amazing nick...

Thought I'd take him home, Leven owes me a fish.

Here's what's on the menu (apart from the match, I put that there)...

Huge bloodworm (probably from earlier in the evening) and olive buzzers. Hopefully I'll hit it right some day soon and experience Leven when it really comes on!!!

Dighty

ps apologies for wrongly sized pics, too knacked to wrestle with photobucket...

Gander,

I got the fish in the Cavelstone Strip area fairly close in (was a westerly wind, what fish were rising were in the shelter). Nothing special on the fly front - big black seals fur emerger type beasts...the adult black buzzers on the go towards the end were massive, which was my downfall - superfine wire on large hooks is not a good combination!!!

The fish I lost took off like a bonefish...
