Pitsford 28th May
Fished off the bank at Bog Bay, having spotted risers there as we drove down the track.Fish were tickling our flies so we changed to size 14 spiders and d.b's, tied short which resulted in good takes. As the wind veered from north easterly to south easterly I put a cormorant booby on the point to keep the team up and had a few fish come to that, but more interest in the droppers. We ended up having a dozen or more fish each, with many more little draws and plucks- small flies were definitely the order of the day.
The boats we saw were struggling, and those of the Police Federation Match were showing appalling etiquette. We had one boat drifting no more than 15m from the bank, whilst two guys on Stilton had their sport ruined when another police boat motored between a boat anchored 40m offshore, and their bank, coming close enough to foul his prop and make a massive mud slick, which hung around for ages.Needless to say both offenders were subject to some terrible language.Dennis the warden cheered us all up though when he told us one of the Policemen had left his handbrake off in the car park, and it had rolled into a colleagues motor.Ha Ha Ha!!
Evening All........
