Default Leven

Fished Loch Leven yesterday.............stiff east wind and bright sunshine (seems like its these conditions every time i go)............didnt get a touch or a follow all day...............but i did have the pleasure of seeing my boat partner catch a stunning 4lb brownie....cock fish ..........an absolute stonker...on a red tailed kate.....

hole of the insch seems to be the place to go.......I didnt know that you can anchor on Leven now....authorwise i`d have taken my own anchor for a bit of buzzer swinging........

tough fishing but if you get a fish they will be in brilliant nick...........

I think if the conditions were right you could have a great day...as Stan says " if Leven is dead its having a hell of a wake"

hopefully i`ll get back through for another couple of days this year.....

Fished Leven yesterday in bright windy conditions and managed 5 fish, the biggest weighing 2lb 14oz. The quality of fish is second to none and the fact they are wild fish makes it even more rewarding.

North shore and Hole O inch were the only places I could find any kind of shelter from the wind, traditional flies coupled with a sinking line did the trick.
